Refried Pinto Beans
Who would have thought that refried beans could be healthy? This recipe gives you the same taste without all the added fat. Cholesterol free. Gluten free. And guilt free, too!
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 medium (2 medium) garlic cloves, peeled
- 30 ounces pinto beans, 2 cans, drained
- 1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon) ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon) chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon (0.25 teaspoon) salt, optional
- ½ (0.5 ) lime, juiced
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the 64 ounce low profile container and secure the lid.
- Select Variable 6 and pulse the mixture 5-6 times, until beans are roughly pureed.
- Place a sauté pan over medium heat and cook 5-8 minutes.
