Berry Winter Spice Sauce
A splash of this bright flavorful sauce will give you that feeling of a profession chef.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup (60 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 3 cups (420 g) fresh cranberries [or equal parts black & blueberries]
- 2 teaspoons Winter Spice Seasoning
- ¼ cup (80 g) dates [or honey], pitted
- ½ cup (120 ml) extra virgin olive oil [or water]
Directions
- Place vinegar, berries, Winter Spice Seasoning, and sugar into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Run the Hot Soup Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds.
- Once stopped, carefully remove the lid plug. Start the blender and slowly increase to Variable 5.
- Pour olive oil in through the lid plug opening. Replace the lid plug and blend an additional 10 seconds.

- If no fresh berries are available, frozen (then thawed) berries may be substituted.
