Stress Free Vegan Gravy
This tasty gravy comes together in just a few minutes with the help of your Vitamix.
Ingredients
- ¾ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- 3 Tablespoons (15 g) nutritional yeast
- ⅓ cup (63 g) toasted brown rice
- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, optional
- 2 cups (480 ml) vegetable stock
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 7 minutes 30 seconds or until thickened and hot.
Chef's Notes
- To toast the rice, simply place into a dry skillet and cook over medium heat until lightly golden brown and aromatic. This is an optional step, but adds flavor to the finished gravy.
