Tandoori Spice Blend
Season taco fillings like ground chicken, turkey, or cauliflower with this spice blend inspired by Indian cuisine for a delicious fusion of flavors. Try this blend in salsa, guacamole, or queso, too.
Ingredients
- 6 Tablespoons (35 g) cumin seeds
- 4 teaspoons (10 g) coriander seeds
- 7 green cardamom pods
- 4 Tablespoons (25 g) sweet paprika
- 4 Tablespoons (25 g) granulated garlic
- 1 ½ teaspoons crystallized ginger
Directions
- Heat a medium sauté pan over medium heat. Add cumin, coriander and cardamom to the pan and toast until fragrant, approximately 4 – 6 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 30 seconds, or until desired consistency is achieved.
- To make 6 chicken tacos: Mix 1/4 cup spice blend with 1 pound of shredded chicken. Build your tacos with 6 tortillas, Pico de Gallo, pickled red onions and guacamole
