Chocolate Espresso Fondue

The perfect "please-a-crowd-in-a-hurry" dessert, combining the rich flavors of chocolate and espresso. Suggested dippers: sponge or pound cake, pretzel sticks, marshmallows, or your favorite fruits.

Chocolate Espresso Fondue

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream
  • 10 teaspoons instant espresso powder
  • 24 ounces (700 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) brandy

Directions

  1. Place water, cream, espresso powder, and chocolate into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed and increase to its highest speed.  Blend for 3 minutes 30 seconds or until melted and smooth.  Using the tamper if needed.  Pour into fondue pot and stir in brandy.

Chef's Notes

  • For dippers, try sponge cake, pound cake, sliced apples, sliced pears, marshmallows, strawberries, bananas, fresh or canned pineapple chunks.

  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) brandy
