Miso BBQ Glaze [Immersion Blender]
Miso adds an extra unique flavor component to this simple sauce. Enjoy it on veggies, meats, or wherever you desire.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water
- ¼ cup (60 ml) rice vinegar
- ¼ cup (60 g) white miso paste
- ⅓ cup (80 ml) maple syrup
- ¼ cup (60 ml) tomato paste
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
Directions
- Place ingredients in the Vitamix Immersion Blending Jar or appropriately sized container.
- Submerge the immersion blender below the surface of the liquid, or as close to the ingredients as possible.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to Variable 4. Move the immersion blender around, including up and down, to blend the ingredients for approximately 20 seconds or until desired consistency is achieved
Chef's Notes
- This may be used as a sauce or a glaze, and will darken and caramelize as it cooks.
