Kick this recipe up a notch by adding a banana, or sneak in courgette for added nutrition.
Ingredients
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- ½ cup (120 ml) milk
- ½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream
- ⅓ cup (65 g) granulated sugar

Delicious! Scrumptious! Perfect!
I followed this recipe but I don’t eat dairy and avoid refined sugar so I subbed coconut cream (the thick cream from the can) and almond milk equa ratios to the recipe. I used 1tsp of vanilla extract and 3.5 TBS of dark grade A maple syrup. I also used 1/2 of a frozen banana. This came out absolutely delicious! Tastes better than what you would get at an ice cream shop and the consistency is so smooth and delicious. I am going to take this recipe and try making new recipes based off of this! Delicious!

Incredible
I just got my new Vitamix today...this was the first recipe we tried. I have NEVER had such good strawberry ice cream in my life. We followed the recipe exactly, except we used liquid vanilla extract in place of the paste. Yumyumyum.

It is workable
The recipe is ok! Me personally I would use heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk instead of sugar! Sweetened condensed milk is easy to make by adding a cup of sugar to two cups of whole milk and cook on stove top for about 25-40 minutes with a pinch of baking soda and a tablespoon of vanilla extract. Ot is better than eagle brand and works wonderful for all flavors of Ice cream!

Love my Vitamix (Jaws) and love this ice cream
I made this ice cream after dinner exactly as written, including the vanilla paste. It was delicious. I had a small bowl right out of the machine, then froze the rest in my popsicle molds. Can't wait until tomorrow's dessert! By the way, this was the second time today that I used Jaws. I made soup for lunch.
