Roasted Cauliflower Slider With Buffalo Hot Sauce

A vegetarian slider with homemade hot sauce that can be adjusted to your liking.


  • sauce:
  • 1 cup (240 ml) hot sauce
  • ½ pound (225 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • Slider:
  • ½ head (0.5 head) cauliflower
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 whole (6 whole) whole wheat slider buns
  • ½ cup (8 g) fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon (1 ) salt, optional
  • 1 pinch (1 pinch) ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Place Sauce ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  3. Select Variable 1.
  4. Start the machine, and slowly increase to its highest speed.
  5. Blend for 7 minutes, or until heavy steam escapes through the vented lid.
  6. Slice cauliflower into 1-inch (2.5-cm) thick florets.
  7. Place cauliflower onto baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, optional and pepper. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, or until tender.
  8. To assemble, place cauliflower on a toasted bun and pour 1 Tablespoon of sauce over cauliflower, garnish with cilantro. Serve immediately.

  • Reserve the extra hot sauce in the refrigerator for later use
