Multipurpose Marinade [Food Processor Attachment]

An all purpose marinade that can be used on chicken, beef, seafood, pork, or vegetables. Garlic and onion are balanced by notes of citrus, which come out especially well when grilled.


  • 160 g (1 medium) yellow onion, peeled, quartered
  • 30 g (6 ) garlic cloves, peeled
  • 80 g (1 medium) orange, peeled, halved
  • (1 Tablespoon) lime zest, about 1 lime
  • 40 g (1 bunch) Italian flat leaf parsley, stems trimmed
  • 80 ml (⅓ cup) grapeseed oil
  • 80 ml (⅓ cup) soy sauce
  • (½ teaspoon) ground black pepper
  • (½ teaspoon) red pepper flakes
  • (½ teaspoon) dried thyme


  1. Fit the Food Processor with the Multi-Use Blade.
  2. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  3. Start the machine and process for 1 minute.

Chef's Notes

  • Use as desired on beef, fish, vegetables, pork, or chicken. Lighter tasting items like chicken and fish will pick up marinade flavors quickly.
  • For a gluten-free marinade, use a gluten-free soy sauce or tamari in this marinade.
