Oat and Avocado Face Mask

This simple face mask nourishes your skin with natural ingredients.

Oat and Avocado Face Mask

Ingredients

  • 270 g (2 medium) avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) honey, raw honey preferred
  • 120 g (1/2 cup) rolled oats

Directions

1. Place all items into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
2. Start the machine on its lowest speed and quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 30 to 45 seconds, using the tamper to press the ingredients into the blades as needed.
3. Scrape the ingredients into an airtight bowl, cover, and refrigerate.
4. Using about 1/4 cup per mask, gently spread the mixture onto your face, being careful around the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Let the face mask sit on skin for fifteen to twenty minutes. Rinse and moisturize.

Chef's Notes

This easy-to-make face mask is very user friendly (and edible). The recipe would also work well as a smoothie bowl, topped with fresh berries, shaved coconut and/or granola.
