Orange Sunrise Blender Drink

Start your morning with this bright, citrusy recipe that balances whole, raw fruits and veggies with just the right amount of herbs and spices.

Ingredients

  • 360 ml (1½ cup) water
  • 340 g (2 ) medium orange, peeled
  • 300 g (2 slices) pineapple, peeled, about 1/2 inch thick
  • 360 g (3 ) large carrots, halved
  • (¼ teaspoon) ground cumin
  • 4 g (1 slice) fresh ginger root, 1/4" thick
  • (7 fresh) mint leaves
  • 260 g (2 cups) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
  3. Blend for 60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Chef's Notes

  • Place the nut milk bag (or cheesecloth/thin kitchen towel) over a large bowl/measuring cup and carefully pour the juice into the bag.
  • Squeeze all of the liquid out of the pulp into the bowl. Store any leftover juice in the fridge and consume within a few days.
