Roasted Cauliflower Slider With Buffalo Hot Sauce
A vegetarian slider with homemade hot sauce that can be adjusted to your liking.
Ingredients
- sauce:
- 240 ml (1 cup) hot sauce
- 225 g (½ pound) unsalted butter
- 240 ml (1 cup) water
- Slider:
- 0.5 head (½ head) cauliflower
- 30 ml (2 Tablespoons) extra virgin olive oil
- 6 whole (6 whole) whole wheat slider buns
- 8 g (½ cup) fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 (1 teaspoon) salt, optional
- 1 pinch (1 pinch) ground black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place Sauce ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Start the machine, and slowly increase to its highest speed.
- Blend for 7 minutes, or until heavy steam escapes through the vented lid.
- Slice cauliflower into 1-inch (2.5-cm) thick florets.
- Place cauliflower onto baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, optional and pepper. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, or until tender.
- To assemble, place cauliflower on a toasted bun and pour 1 Tablespoon of sauce over cauliflower, garnish with cilantro. Serve immediately.
