Whipped cream in the Vitamix® Aer™ disc container is surprisingly quick and effortless. With or without raspberries, it's the perfect addition to a range of desserts.
Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
Select the lowest setting. Start the machine, increase to its highest speed, and run for 45 seconds to 1 minute, using the tamper to press ingredients into the disc toward the end of the run time.
Notes
Raspberries can be left out of this recipe for a more traditional style of whipped cream. Alternatively, other soft berries (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.) can be added for a different flavor profile. Add a few drops of vanilla extract to taste if desired.
For your desired whipped cream blend on Variable 7 until you get the lighter whipped cream this will take longer than the time on the recipe. Maybe up to a minute.
Blending on a lower speed can give a smoother consistancy but takes a little longer to form. We use the high speed to get it done fast. Heavy cream needs to cover the blades

Raspberry whipped cream seemed to lack lightnessI made this according to the recipe except I used 2 cups of heavy whipping cream. I’ve made whipped cream in the regular container and it always produced a very light and airy whipped cream at held together in the bottom of the container.
The whipped cream in the Aer Disc container was not concentrated in the bottom of the container. Instead, it was all over the sides and much less like the kind of light whipped cream I’m used to. I had to scrape it off the sides of the container. I was disappointed and probably won’t use it for this again. I’ve had more misses than hits with this new tool.

Everything I hoped this container would be.I have been waiting for this to come out for a long time. It emulsifies delicate sauces with complete control. It's ability to make a perfect and effortless Pisco Sour is worth the price of admission.

Making Whipped Cream in the Aer DiscEven though the recipe calls for 3 cups of heavy cream, most people are going to want to use a pint since that is the most popular sized container. So, I used that and the same thing that happened in the review of ChuckH happened to me as well. I lost almost all of the cream I whipped in the process. A great amount of the cream was slung to the sides of the container. More of it was up in the lid. I didn't realize how much was lost inside the bottom of the disc until I washed the container. I had very little left I could use. My opinion is that it was a total disaster. I started on low and then increased to the highest speed. I'm pretty certain that all of the cream was slung against the sides by the time the machine reached 3 much less what was happening at 10. There was too much clinging to the sides of the container to even see inside to know what was going on. Perhaps you have to use more than a pint for anything to work in this Aer Disc but it defeats your purpose if you have to buy more cream than you need just to be able to use this container. Every bit of the cream can be used if you whip it in a bowl with beaters. Why would I even want to use something that will make me lose my product?
I have been a Vitamix owner since the 70's and have had at least 4 different Vitamix machines since then and use my newest one every day. I am a big fan of Vitamix, but not this Aer Disc. Now I don't think I will chance trying this out for meringue since how can the same thing not happen? I even chilled the container so it would be extra cold along with the cold cream. We don't drink alcohol so the container is worthless to me if I can't use it for other things.

Mixed Berry Whip CreamI decided to make a mixed berry sparkling soda.. No coconut water so I threw 1/2 pound of shredded coconut into the soda. I had to eat it with a spoon so I threw in about 1 cup of heavy cream into about half of the soda pop pulp. My God was it top notch! I LOVE AER container. Later Crazy Jay in Palmer Alaska.
