What are the key criteria used when considering funding a grant?

In addition to considering a project’s alignment with our mission and focus areas, we also consider other areas such as:

• A grantee’s experience of implementing the proposed project
• Potential for scalability
• Long-term sustainability of an initiative
• Potential impact and reach of the project
• How a proposal fits into our funding portfolio (balancing our funding decisions around supporting new and continuation grants as well as funding across our focus areas)
