Savory Flavor Booster
Try adding this umami-packed seasoning blend to roasted vegetable dishes, stews, risottos, or anywhere you need a flavor boost.
Ingredients
- ½ cup (13 g) dried porcini mushrooms, or other mixed mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
- ½ teaspoon black peppercorns
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the blade base.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 15 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
- Reserve seasoning blend for use with roasted vegetables, soups, sauces, and more. If desired, add 1 teaspoon of kosher salt to create a flavorful seasoning salt.
