Savory Flavor Booster

Try adding this umami-packed seasoning blend to roasted vegetable dishes, stews, risottos, or anywhere you need a flavor boost.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (13 g) dried porcini mushrooms, or other mixed mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ½ teaspoon black peppercorns

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the blade base.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 15 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Reserve seasoning blend for use with roasted vegetables, soups, sauces, and more. If desired, add 1 teaspoon of kosher salt to create a flavorful seasoning salt.
