Vitamix Chief Human Resources Officer Dennis Armstrong Receives Human Resources Executive of the Year Award

Crain’s Cleveland Business Archer Award Honors Northeast Ohio’s Top Human Resources Professionals 27.06.2021

CLEVELAND — Crain’s Cleveland Business has named Vitamix Chief Human Resources Officer Dennis Armstrong a recipient of its 2014 Archer Award for Human Resources Executive of the Year. The Archer Award recognizes talented professionals who build their organizations with a combination of the best people, development and culture. Nominees are judged by an independent panel of human resources professionals across various industries.

Since joining Vitamix in September 2011, Armstrong has helped lead the company through a period of tremendous growth during which it tripled its number of employees and opened two new facilities, including an Operations Center and a Customer Contact Center. Armstrong is a highly valued partner to the Vitamix senior leadership team. He provides insights and processes to manage the company’s increasingly complex business, including strategies for change management, growth, individual and team effectiveness, team building, and compensation and benefits approaches.

“Dennis arrived at a time when Vitamix was embarking on a period of high growth and hit the ground running, quickly putting in place human resources systems to efficiently handle the recruitment, orientation and onboarding of talented employees,” said Loree Connors, Vitamix chief financial and administrative officer. “Dennis is deserving of the Archer Award as he is both caring and data-driven. He is thoughtful in his approach to drive effective decisions, and he leads from a basis of integrity.”

Armstrong has more than 25 years of experience in human resources, business and operating experience as well as a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology.
