What’s better than a frosty Mango Coconut Freeze that's lighter than ice cream but just as satisfying? Making it at home with your Vitamix Ascent® X Series blender.
Juicy mango, creamy coconut, and zesty lime give this frozen dessert a fun, tropical flavor profile. But this scoop of frosty yumminess doesn’t just taste good—it’s good for you. The soy milk base provides plant protein, vitamin B, and potassium, which is good for heart health. Mangoes are high in vitamins A and C and fiber, which according to the American Heart Association, supports colon cancer prevention, healthy heart function, and weight control. This refreshing blend of ingredients also assists immune health, energy levels, and overall wellness.
Making this treat with your Vitamix lets you control the ingredients, so you can leave out unhealthy additives and excess sugars. You can add your personal touch and garnish with basil or sprinkle with chile-lime seasoning.
Check out these tips and enjoy your blend.
Do use the tamper. Press ingredients toward the blades with the tamper. It’s safe—when the lid is secure the tamper can’t touch the blades.
Don’t overmix. Overprocessing the recipe will cause melting.
Do thaw frozen fruit. Just for about 10 minutes while you gather other ingredients. It helps create a silky texture in the finished dish.
Do make extra. Serve right away or store in the freezer.
