Sichuan Chili Sauce
You can easily prepare this restaurant-quality Sichuan chili sauce at home in just a short amount of time
Ingredients
- 80 ml (⅓ cup) rice wine vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 20 ml (1⅓ Tablespoon) soy sauce
- 15 ml (1 Tablespoon) sesame oil
- 50 g (1/2 cups) red pepper powder
- 80 milliliters tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt, optional
- 10 g (1 Tablespoon) fresh ginger root
- 15 g (1⅓ Tablespoon) garlic
- 60 ml (¼ cup) hot water
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the blade base.
- Start the machine and increase to Variable 5 for 10 seconds. Increase speed to Variable 10 and blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth.
