Sunshine Smoothie

Carrots and lemon are complimented by sweet oranges to make a healthy juice-style smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 720 ml (3 cups) water
  • 500 g (4 Tablespoon) medium orange, peeled, halved
  • 400 g (6 Tablespoon) carrots
  • 20 g (2 Tablespoon) slices lemon, ¼"
  • 260 g (2 cups) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, and quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds.

Chef's Notes

Instead of ice cubes try frozen mango to boost the nutrition and flavor. Maybe try a little fresh ginger or turmeric to give this smoothie a refreshing spice.

  • 250 g (2 medium) oranges, peeled, halved
  • 200 g (3 ) carrots
  • 10 g (1 slice) lemon, 1/4"
  • 130 g (1 cup) ice cubes
