Vibrant New Color Containers from Vitamix® Make It Easy to Differentiate Uses for Blending

Available in Three Colorful Hues, the Containers Are Ideal for Color-Coding Food-Sensitive Blends and Bring a Radiant Refresh to Your Machine

CLEVELAND – May 15, 2023 – Millions of adults and children live with food allergies, and 40% of these children are allergic to more than one food, making cooking an ongoing challenge. Today, Vitamix® launched three new Color Containers to help home cooks distinguish uses when blending with sensitive foods as well as non-food blending applications, such as pet food or body scrub.

Vitamix Color Containers can be designated for various blends to avoid cross-contamination, bringing users confidence and control when cooking for the allergen-sensitive. Available in purple, blue, and yellow, the durable, BPA-free Eastman Tritan® containers were designed to be bright in color to help blenders easily differentiate them for multiple uses. For example, choose one container color for recipe blends with tree nuts, another for dairy, and a third for wheat; or simply use one separate color for the person with sensitivities. Color Containers are also transparent, creating a fun pop of color in the kitchen.

“Through recent research*, we discovered that one out of four Vitamix customers uses their blender to help with food allergies in their family, so we created our new Color Containers to address this important need,” said Laura Ostenkamp, Vice President, Marketing & Product, at Vitamix. “Color coding is a best practice used by many of Vitamix’s restaurant partners, so our team is proud to bring this simple, effective solution to households to minimize cross-contamination and offer peace of mind.”

The 48-ounce container size makes it ideal for medium blends, and the laser-cut blades are crafted from stainless steel to deliver better, smoother blends and a longer life. The Color Containers are compatible with all full-size Vitamix blenders, which last 10 times longer than an average blender. Each container is equipped with Vitamix’s SELF-DETECT® feature to recognize the container and automatically adjust blend settings for its size. SELF-DETECT is only available with Smart System machines.

The included specially designed tamper is used to press thick and frozen mixtures toward the blades for faster, smoother blends. The see-through lid is leak-proof and helps monitor the progress of every blend. The removable, vented lid plug allows users to add ingredients while blending, and doubles as a 2-ounce measuring cup.

The easy-to-clean, dishwasher-safe, Vitamix® 48-ounce Color Containers retail for $164.95 and are available at vitamix.com. They are backed by a three-year warranty.
