Alan’s Going Green Smoothie

In addition to green grapes, spinach, and pineapple, a bit of jalapeño rounds out the flavor and adds a kick to this sweet smoothie.

Alan’s Going Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 2 cups (300 g) green grapes
  • 2 slices (170 g) pineapple, peeled, with core
  • 1 medium (150 g) banana, peeled
  • 2 limes, peeled
  • ½ cup (70 g) roasted unsalted cashews
  • 2 jalapeños, stemmed, seeded
  • 4 cups (120 g) fresh spinach
  • 2 cups (260 g) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.

Additional spinach or ice may be added through the lid plug opening while blending to maximize container usage, and for extra nutrients!
