Cinnapple Syrup

This sweet apple syrup is delicious served warm or cold over vanilla ice cream, pancakes or drizzled atop a slice of apple pie.

Cinnapple Syrup

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (120 ml) water
  • 6 medium (750 g) apples, halved, seeded
  • 1 cup (120 g) dates, pitted
  • 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
  3. Blend for 5-6 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid. Use warm or cold over vanilla ice cream, pancakes or as a garnish for apple pie.

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) water
  • 3 medium (375 g) apples, halved, seeded
  • ½ cup (60 g) dates, pitted
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Hot Soup Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.  Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds.

  • ½ cup (60 gal) dates, pitted
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
  4. Blend for 5-6 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid. Use warm or cold over vanilla ice cream, pancakes or as a garnish for apple pie.
