Chef's Note

  • The delicate flavor, color, and nutrient content of matcha powder is destroyed at temperatures above 175°F (80°C). Using the Hot Soup setting, this recipe typically yields a latte at around 160 - 175°F  (70 - 80°C), however results vary based on initial ingredient temperature. Use a thermometer after heating the milk to ensure it is below 175°F (80°C) before adding matcha. If it is too hot, allow to cool for a few minutes before adding matcha.Matcha is rich in antioxidants and it provides a gentle caffeine boost. You can easily substitute any milk of choice and adjust the sweetener to your liking, making it completely customizable.
