Roasted Cauliflower Slider With Buffalo Hot Sauce
A vegetarian slider with homemade hot sauce that can be adjusted to your liking.
Ingredients
- sauce:
- 1 cup (240 ml) hot sauce
- ½ pound (225 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (240 ml) water
- Slider:
- ½ head cauliflower
- 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 6 whole whole wheat slider buns
- ½ cup (8 g) fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt, optional
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place Sauce ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
- Run the Hot Soup Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds.
- Slice cauliflower into 1-inch (2.5-cm) thick florets.
- Place cauliflower onto baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, optional and pepper. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes, or until tender.
- To assemble, place cauliflower on a toasted bun and pour 1 Tablespoon of sauce over cauliflower, garnish with cilantro. Serve immediately.
Chef's Notes
- Reserve the extra hot sauce in the refrigerator for later use
