Sunset Smoothie

A unique medley of flavors gives this smoothie its nutritional value.

Sunset Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 2 cups (330 g) pineapple chunks
  • 1 medium orange, peeled
  • ¼ cup (30 g) beets, scrubbed
  • ¼ cup (30 g) carrot
  • 1 piece (5 g) fresh ginger root, 1/4" slice
  • 1 cup (30 g) fresh spinach
  • 1 cup (35 g) swiss chard
  • ½ avocado, peeled, pitted
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 small broccoli florets
  • 1 cup (130 g) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Smoothie Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 40-50 seconds, using the tamper to push ingredients toward the blades.
