Sesame Sorbet

If you're a fan of nut butters, you'll love the cool, nutty richness of this Taiwanese sesame sorbet.

Ingredients

  • 480 ml (2 cups) Tahini, g
  • 160 ml (⅔ cup) Soy Milk [or milk alternative], ml
  • 780 g (6 cups) ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 30-45 seconds, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
  3. In about 30-60 seconds, the sound of the motor will change and four mounds should form. Stop the machine. Do not over mix or melting will occur. Serve immediately.

Chef's Notes

Black sesame paste can be substituted.

  • 80 ml (⅓ cup) Soy Milk [or milk alternative]
  • 390 g (3 cups) ice cubes
