Citrus Juice
You'll never have to resort to store-bought juice again when making cocktails at home. This versatile recipe lends a fresh citrus flavor your guests are sure to notice.
Ingredients
- 3 medium oranges, peeled, halved
- 3 medium lemons, peeled
- 3 medium limes, peeled
Directions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and securethe lid.
- Select the lowest setting. Start the machine, slowly increase to its highest speed, and run for 45 seconds to 1 minute using the tamper to press the ingredients down into the blade.
- Strain and set aside to use in your favorite cocktail. Refrigerate for up to 1 week for peak flavor.
Notes
Make sure to choose softer fruits, which release more juice when muddled. The container will aerate and extract the juice to capture more citrus flavor, which in turn makes a better tasting cocktail.

Fantastic
It took one trial with an orange to figure out that MUST BE PEELED and it is a good idea to more than quarter the orange slices...I found two together works best. Made fantastic juice. Less than 1 min in the AER.

Worked great
The key to the recipe is using the tamper. I ran the machine for less than a minute while ramping down on the fruit, strained it and had a lot of good juice.

Didn't work.
Tried this recipe with my new AER container. It did not work well at all. I eventually got some juice after about 5 minutes of blending. Also, I put some of the juice in the fridge for a few minutes to cool it down and it just became sludge.
