Sweet 'n Green Baby Food

A blend of apples and nutrient-rich kale, sweetened with figs.

Apple, Kale and Fig Baby Food

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 2 medium (400 g) apples, seeded, halved, steamed
  • 8 Tablespoon (230 g) dried figs, steamed
  • 4 cups (120 g) kale, steamed

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Start the blender and increase to its highest speed. Blend for 1 minute using the tamper to push ingredients into the blades.

  • 1 Tablespoon (30 g) dried figs, steamed
  • 1 cup (30 g) kale, chopped, steamed

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the blade base.
  2. Select Variable 1 or the 8-ounce Puree program (if available).
  3. Start the blender and increase to its highest speed. Blend for 1 minute; or start the machine and allow to 8-ounce Puree program to complete.
